Using of Shortcodes

In order to create a slider or a grid, you are going to have to use shortcodes.



What is a shortcode ?


A shorcode is a special text tag that can be inserted anywhere on a page or article of your website. WordPress is then able to automatically interpret this tag.

So this shortcode allows you to add certain features without having to program anything.




How to use shortcodes on the CWO Photo plugin ?



If you have logged in with Google and if you have correctly filled your Client ID and your Client Secret, you should be able to see your Google Photos albums in the “Album Google Photo” menu of the CWO Photo plugin.


For each album, you have the basis of the shortcode with the first parameter which is the album id.

You can copy the whole content between brackets and paste it anywhere on your website, whatever you want insert a slider or a grid.

We strongly recommend that you always set “c” to “true” to guarantee a clean layout.




Thus a shortcode might look like this :



And there you go ! Your shortcode is ready ! Copy it and paste it wherever you want.

You will see that for a customer, this shortcode will have been turned into a slider or a grid based on the parameters you chose.

Note that if you do not define any settings, default settings will be applied.



Free version


Default settings in free version are :


Be aware that in free version, the limit number of displayed photos per album is set at 5.

So it is not possible of modify this parameter in free version.




PRO version


However with the PRO version, you can modify this parameter with the value you want.
